Format of the OET listening subtest

The hearing sub-test of OET covers a total of 3 sections. This section provides an excerpt of consultations between doctors and patients. These speech extracts can last up to 5 minutes so you will need to fill out a note to this health professional with details based upon the extracts that you hear. Part b includes short speech clips in healthcare office settings.

The film includes 6 recorded audio videos spanning approximately a minute in length. The conversation may involve the patient and medical professionals, teams briefings or handovers.
