ഇന്നത്തെ ദിവസമെന്നത് വളരെയധികം മൂല്യo ഉളവാക്കുന്ന ദിനമാണ്. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ദിനം എന്നു പറയുന്നത് ലോക പുസ്തകത്തിന്റെയും, പകർപ്പവകാശ ദിനത്തിന്റെയും, ആഘോഷത്തോടനുബ-ന്ധിച്ച്, നടക്കുന്നതാണ്. ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച എഴുത്തുകാരനായി ഷേക്സ്പിയറിനെയാണ് കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്. മാത്രമല്ല, വില്യo ഷേക്സ്പിയറുടെ പരമ്പരാഗത ജന്മദിനത്തെയും, മരണത്തെയും അനുസ്മരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു കൂടിയാണ് ” ENGLISH  LANGUAGE DAY “എന്നത്.
